No. 13 Soccer set for pair of top 15 showdowns

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 13 Razorback Soccer (7-1-1) will look to continue its six-match unbeaten streak when it hosts No. 15 Vanderbilt (8-1-0) on Thursday and visits No.  8 South Carolina (7-1-0) on Sunday.

The Commodores come to Fayetteville with two ranked wins this season, including a 1-0 victory over No. 14 Tennessee on Sunday. Vanderbilt is outscoring opponents 22-3 and averaging 17.4 shots per game, compared to just 4.3 by opposing teams.

South Carolina also opened SEC play with a win on Friday, a 3-0 shutout victory over Georgia. They’re only loss of the season came against ninth-ranked Clemson on Sept. 15.

Arkansas is meeting both teams for the first time since 2017, with the Hogs picking up wins over both the Gamecocks and Commodores.

The Razorbacks downed Alabama on Sunday, 1-0, in both squads’ conference opener. Parker Goins served a cross in front of goal that Anna Podojil put in the back of the net in the 7th-minute.
