No. 18 Florida Defeats Razorbacks Sunday Afternoon

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.– No. 36 Arkansas men’s tennis wrapped up the weekend at Billingsley Tennis Center on Sunday, falling 4-1 to No. 18 Florida.

The Razorbacks (16-13) opened strong in doubles play, securing the point with wins on courts two and three. No. 85 Dmitry Kopilevich and Brendan Boland earned a 7-6 (7-3) victory, while Lukas Palovic and Connor Smillie followed with a 6-1 win to give Arkansas an early 1-0 lead.

Florida (15-12) answered in singles, taking four straight matches to clinch the victory. Adhithya Ganesan defeated Lukas Palovic 6-4, 6-1 on court one, while Lorenzo Claverie topped Ben Weintraub 6-3, 6-4. No. 56 Pablo Perez Ramos added a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kopilevich before Kevin Edengren sealed the match with a 6-4, 6-3 victory against Brendan Boland.

A pair of matches went unfinished, including Gabriel Elicha Navas, who led in the second set, and Arsène Pougault, who split sets and was in a third-set battle when play was halted.
