No. 3 Razorback Soccer Receives Highest Ranking in Program History
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback Soccer earned the program’s highest ranking on Tuesday when the team moved up six spots to No. 3 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
Arkansas downed No. 5 Texas A&M on Sunday at home in a Top 10 matchup, 2-1, and Parker Goins was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. It was the third-straight win over the Aggies and second consecutive week the Razorbacks have earned conference offensive POTW honors.
The Razorbacks set a then program-best last season after climbing their way up to No. 6 in the poll from Oct. 22nd – Nov. 5th. Following a fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, Arkansas finished at No. 12 last season in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
The Razorbacks return to action when they travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to face the Alabama Crimson Tide. First kick is on ESPNU at 2 p.m. CT. on Sunday afternoon.
