No. 35 Arkansas Travel To Mississippi for Pair of SEC Matches

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 35 Razorback women’s tennis team (12-7, 5-4) close out their regular-season road trips, traveling to take on No. 63 Mississippi State (10-11, 1-8) on Friday and No. 45 Ole Miss (9-8, 3-6) on Sunday.

The Razorbacks dropped both matches over the weekend, falling to No. 29  Tennessee in a 4-3 decision on Friday and then dropping a 6-1 match to No. 10 Georgia.

Mississippi State is coming off of four straight SEC losses to South Carolina, Florida, and Ole Miss all in tight decisions. The Bulldogs are led by Magda Adaloglou who boasts a 6-2 record at the No. 1 position and a 1-2 record at the No. 2 position but has yet to win an SEC match this dual season.

Ole Miss improved over the weekend, winning their sole match against Mississippi State on Sunday, 5-2, giving them a six-spot jump in the latest ITA Team Rankings. The Rebels are led by Sabina Machalova who jumped 20 positions in the ranking to No. 49 after defeating No. 95 Emma Antonaki 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Friday’s match against the Bulldogs is set to begin at 4 p.m. CT and Sunday’s match against Ole Miss is set to start at 1 p.m. CT, Live stats and video will be available for fans at the links on our schedule page.
