No. 41 Men's Tennis Hosts LSU for Senior Night

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 41 Arkansas men’s tennis team (15-11, 3-8) returns to Billingsley Tennis Center for its final home match of the season to face LSU (10-13, 0-10) for Senior Night on Thursday, April 3 at 5:30 p.m.

The Razorbacks opened last weekend with a loss to No. 17 Mississippi State on Mar. 27 before splitting a doubleheader on Mar. 29 against No. 31 Auburn and Alabama State. The Hogs fell to the Tigers 4-2 ahead of a 4-0 win over the Hornets to conclude the road trip.

Lukas Palovic surged from No. 80 to No. 49 in the latest ITA singles rankings after recording two top-60 victories over the last two weeks, including a three-set win against No. 19 Gorzny (Texas). The duo of Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba rose from No. 48 to No. 20 in the latest ITA doubles rankings following two top-30 victories over the last two weeks, including a win against No. 10 Blaydes/Nolan (Auburn).

LSU is 10-13 overall and 0-10 in SEC play after a 5-2 loss to No. 29 Florida last Thursday. No. 103 Alessio Vasquez headlines the Tigers’ singles lineup at the top spot and has earned nine dual victories this year. LSU also features No. 121 Julien Penzlin and Andrej Loncarevic, who have posted a combined 22-9 record this spring. Aleksi Lofman and Penzlin have collected nine doubles wins together this dual season and are ranked No. 43 in the ITA doubles rankings.
