No. 6 Arkansas Snaps Unbeaten Streak at No. 22 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – No. 6 Arkansas soccer (7-3-3, 5-1-1 SEC) picked up its first SEC loss after a 1-0 defeat at No. 22 Georgia on Friday night.

The Bulldogs (8-3-4, 4-1-2 SEC) opened the scoring in the 53rd minute via a left-footed strike from forward Mya Townes outside the 18-yard box.

Arkansas’ best chance came in the 68th minute when a shot from sophomore Kyndal Ewertz hit the top of the crossbar.

The Razorbacks were held to seven shots and just one on target.

Despite the loss, Arkansas sits atop the SEC standings with 16 points and is tied with Tennessee with three games left in conference play.
