
No. 7 Arkansas Overpowers Ole Miss, Remains Unbeaten in SEC Play
FAYETTEVILLE – The seventh-ranked Razorbacks (6-2-2, 4-0-0 SEC) scored a season-high four goals to take down Ole Miss (4-4-1, 0-3-1 SEC), 4-1, on Friday night at Razorback Field.
Arkansas was led by junior Bella Field, who scored a pair of goals in her first game back since breaking her nose during pregame warmups three weeks ago.
Ole Miss found the back of the net via a penalty kick with 10 seconds left in the match.
The Hogs outshot the Rebels, 16-5, forced goalkeeper Sidney O’billovich to make seven saves and tied their season high with 10 corner kicks.
Game Notes
- The first three goals were scored by first-time goal scorers this season: Bella Field, Ainsley Erzen and Makenzie Malham. Field had the fourth in 82nd minute.
- Malham scored Arkansas’ second corner kick goal of the year via junior Avery Wren’s first assist of the year.
- Vailana Tu’ua picked up the assist on Field’s second goal and has recorded at least one point in all four of the Hogs’ SEC matches this season.
- Arkansas is 8-0-1 against Ole Miss since the 2018 SEC Tournament. Arkansas has outscored the Rebels 28-4 in the last 8 meetings.
- Arkansas improved to 4-0-0 in SEC play for the third straight season and sits atop the league table with 12 points.
