No. 7 Men's Track & Field Heads to Lubbock for Red Raider Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The seventh-ranked Arkansas men’s track & field program heads to Lubbock, Texas, for the Red Raider Invitational on Friday, Jan. 24, with field events starting at 10 a.m. CT (weight throw) and running events beginning at 11:15 a.m. (3000m). The meet will feature Air Force, Arizona, Houston, New Mexico Jr College, Oklahoma State, South Plains, TCU, Texas State, Incarnate Word, North Texas, UT-Arlington, Texas Tech, Washington State and Western Texas.

In their home opener at the Arkansas Invitational, the Razorbacks set three top-20 times in the NCAA this season, as Laquan Nairn dropped the 11th-best mark in the triple jump (15.83m – 51-11.25).

Freshman Jeremy Farr won the 400-meters, setting the 18th-fastest time nationally with a 47.47 while Jalen Brown’s time of 21.16 in the 200-meters placed him in second and 11th in the country this indoor season. The Arkansas 4×400 relay team of Brown, Farr, Nick Hilson and Hunter Woodhall set the 10th-best time for the NCAA with a 3:10.07.
