No. 8 Razorbacks compete in LSU Invitational on Saturday

BATON ROUGE – No. 8 Arkansas competes at the LSU Invitational on Saturday, May 3, among a field of 10 teams, nine of which are currently ranked among the top 20 nationally.

No. 3 Tennessee and No. 4 Georgia headline the field at LSU, followed by No. 6 Minnesota, No. 10 Alabama, No. 13 Auburn, No. 14 Florida, No. 15 LSU, No. 18 Ole Miss, as well as Miami.

“It’s a good meet and we get in and out of there in one day,” said Arkansas men’s head coach Chris Bucknam. “I think that’s really important after being at Mt. SAC and Bryan Clay where from the decathlon to the 4 x 400m relay was a five-day meet.

“This is what the doctor ordered for us in going down to LSU. We’re going to focus on us. We’re glad there is good competition, but we’re not trying to measure out anybody else. We’re just trying to do our own thing right now and get ready for the SEC Championships.”
