No. 9 Arkansas Heads to LSU for Road Finale
FAYETTEVILLE – The ninth-ranked Arkansas soccer team (10-3-1, 6-1-0 SEC) will play its final regular season road match at LSU (8-6-1, 3-4-0 SEC). Kickoff from LSU Soccer Stadium is set for 6 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on SEC Network Plus.
Thursday’s matchup will be the 31st all-time meeting between the two programs. The Tigers hold a 15-11-4 advantage in the all-time series record.
The Hogs currently sit atop the SEC standings with 18 points and a five-point lead over South Carolina and Mississippi State. They will look to clinch their fourth league title in the last five seasons with a win against the Tigers and ties or losses from the Bulldogs and Gamecocks, who play against Vanderbilt and at Texas A&M, respectively.
The Razorbacks returned to the win column with a 3-0 victory over Florida last week, their SEC-leading 10th win and sixth league win of the season. Head coach Colby Hale’s squads have now won at least 10 matches for the eighth straight season, the second-longest streak in the SEC. (South Carolina, 10 seasons)
LSU is coming off a 4-1 loss at No. 24 Alabama. The Tigers scored the match’s first goal but gave up four unanswered scores and suffered their fourth loss in SEC play.
