No. 15 Lady Razorbacks close out regular season at No. 30 LSU

FAYETTEVILLE – Coming off a weekend in which the 15th-ranked University of Arkansas Lady Razorback tennis team clinched the school’s first ever Southeastern Conference Western Division title, they will now turn their attention to No. 30 LSU on Saturday to close out the regular season.

The Lady’Backs (14-7, 7-3 in SEC) will look to close out the regular season with a road win for momentum heading into the SEC Tournament beginning on Thursday. Arkansas defeated Mississippi State, 5-2, in their last match to clinch the SEC West title.

LSU (12-8, 5-5 in SEC) is also coming off a victory over Mississippi State, 5-1, which took place on Wednesday due to a rainout. The match-up between the two schools has been a battle the past few years, with Arkansas earning the, 4-3, upset over the 29th-ranked Tigers last season in Fayetteville. Also, the Court 1 battle between No. 1 Aurelija Miseviciute and No. 18 Megan Falcon, should make for excellent one-on-one tennis action on Saturday.

LSU holds the advantage in the career match-up between the two teams with a 17-10 record. The Tigers will also bring the No. 29 ranked doubles duo into the match of Falcon and Mykala Hedberg.

First serve in Saturday’s match in Baton Rouge, La. is set for 1 p.m.
