No. 30 Arkansas looks upset No. 20 Vanderbilt on Friday

FAYETTEVILLE – The 30th-ranked University of Arkansas Lady Razorback tennis team look to earn their second Southeastern Conference win on Friday against 20th-ranked Vanderbilt at 2:00 p.m. in Nashville, Tenn.

The Lady’Backs, 8-5, 1-1 in SEC, are coming off a complete sweep of Alabama, 7-0, including winning all nine matches.

In the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, junior Aurelija Miseviciute vaulted back to the No. 1 singles player in the nation. In doubles, all three Arkansas pairs are currently ranked, as the Lady’Backs are one of two teams in the SEC (Florida) with that honor.

Miseviciute and Kaluder lead the way at No. 21, Maryori Franco and Nanar Airapetian are No. 54, while Audrey Bordeleau and Anouk Tigu crack the rankings at No. 59.

For Vanderbilt, 8-2, 0-2 in SEC, No. 35 Amanda Taylor leads the way followed by No. 37 Catherine Newman, and No. 51 Courtney Ulery in singles. In doubles action, Vanderbilt possesses Newman and Taka Bertrand at No. 57.

Vanderbilt is coming off two conference losses to Florida, 5-2, and South Carolina, 4-3.
