Notae and Williams Earn USBWA Honors

FAYETTEVILLE – JD Notae was named to the United States Basketball Writers Association All-America team (honorable mention) and was voted the USBWA Player of the Year for District VII. He and Jaylin Williams were additionally selected for the USBWA 10-person All-District VII team. (District VII includes all Division I programs in the states of Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana).

Notae and Williams were both also selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 20 second team.

Notae is one of just five Razorbacks that have been named the USBWA All-America team, joining Ron Brewer (1978), Sidney Moncrief (1979), Bobby Portis (2015) and Corliss Williamson (1994 and ’95).

Notae joins Bobby Portis (2015) as the only Razorbacks to be named USBWA District Player of the Year. Notae and Williams make the sixth set of Razorback teammates to be named to the USBWA All-District team since its inception in 2004 and the duo is the first set of Arkansas teammates named to the NABC All-District team since 2018.
