Notae Tabbed All-American by The Sporting News & Field of 68

FAYETTEVILLE – JD Notae picked up his second and third national honors as both The Sporting News and the Field of 68 selected the Razorback to its All-American squad as a third-team selection.

Notae was joined by a pair of SEC players by TSN, first-team pick Oscar Tshiebwe (Kentucky) and second-team selection Jabari Smith (Auburn), while Tshiewbe (1st team), Smith (2nd team) and Walker Kessler (3rd team) were on the 15-member Field of 68 squad.

According to TSN, “Notae grabbed everyone’s attention by punishing Kentucky’s defense in the Razorbacks’ big home win, but he’d done the same to opposing teams from the very start of the season. Notae did not post a single-figure scoring game as he inherited the scoring load from last year’s terrific Hogs team and increased his scoring average by nearly 50 percent, to 18.9 points per game.”

According to Field of 69, “Arkansas hit their stride down the stretch of the season. That came at a time when JD Notae started to take games over. He’s good enough to put Arkansas on his back and lead them on another deep tournament run.
