Olesen Named PING/GCAA All-America

FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback senior Jacob Skov Olesen was named second team Division I PING All-America, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Olesen, who finished the season 17th in the NCAA individual ranking, is the 27th Razorback to be selected a GCAA All-American and they have combined for 45 honors. Head coach Brad McMakin has now produced 14 All-Americas at Arkansas that have combined for 22 honors. Since McMakin’s arrival in 2006-07, at least one Razorback has earned All-America in 16 of his 18 seasons.

Olesen adds to his impressive resume for 203-224. Previous honors include:
• PING/GCAA All-Central Region.
• All-SEC (1st team).
• Arnold Palmer Cup Selection (Team International).

Olesen became the first Razorback to finish the season with a scoring average below 70 with his record-setting, single-season stroke average of 69.94 (2,238 strokes over 32 rounds). The previous record was 70.38, set by Julian Perico in 2019-20. He additionally set the school record for rounds in the 60’s with 16 and tied the school record for rounds at par or better with 24. (Craig Lile also had 24 in 1999-00.) He finished among the top 15 in each of his last 11 events, including three top-5’s.
