Olympian For A Day

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Olympian Omar McLeod will be taking pictures and signing autographs with Razorback fans at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Razorback Invitational from 12-1 p.m.

McLeod is the program record holder in the 60-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles and as a member of the 4-x-100m relay. He also owns the NCAA record in the 60-meter hurdles from his 2015 national indoor championship gold-meriting performance of 7.45 seconds. Heavily decorated during his tenure as a Razorback, McLeod is a four-time national champion and the recipient of seven first team All-America certificates.

Following his collegiate career, McLeod captured Jamaica’s first gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles at the 2016 Summer Olympics.  The top contender through all three rounds of the technical event, he finished his final race of the Games with a time of 13.05 seconds, solidifying his claim as the best high hurdler of 2016.

The Razorback Invitational will take place on Jan. 27-28 with prime time scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.
