
One Hog Advances, Three Participate on Monday at the ITA All-American Championships
TULSA, Okla. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team had three participants in play on Monday as the qualifying draws for singles and doubles began.
Jakub Vrba started his journey through the singles qualifying, winning his Round of 64 match over Oliver Ojakaar (Texas), 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2. Ojakaar is ranked No. 87 in the ITA preseason rankings, while Vrba is ranked No. 127. Vrba moves on to face No. 100 Andrew Delgado (Wake Forest) in the Round of 32 at 9 a.m. CT on Tuesday.
No. 50 Eric Padgham and Ben Weintraub fell to Taym Alazmeh and Danial Rakhmatullayev (Michigan State), 6-7 (4), 0-6 in the Round of 32 of the doubles qualifying draw. The duo will now move to the consolation bracket where they will face Jakub Kroslak/Antonio Prat (Miami) at 2:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday in the Round of 16.
