Perico Named All-American

FAYETTEVILLE – Julian Perico, a three-time all-region selection, was named NCAA Division I PING All-American honorable mention, as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Perico, who just completed his junior season, becomes the 25th Razorback to earn All-American (12 in the Brad McMakin era) and the group has been honored a total of 42 times. Since arriving at Fayetteville for the 2006-07 season, at least one Razorback has been named All-American in 15 of McMakin’s 16 seasons.

Perico earned his honor after:

  • making the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup for Team International.
  • being named PING/GCAA All-Central Region for the third time in his three years.
  • receiving his third All-SEC honor (freshman in 2019, 1st team in 2020 and 2nd team in 2021).
  • winning his second collegiate event, Vanderbilt’s Legends Collegiate versus an all SEC field.
  • leading the team in scoring for the third straight year (71.18).
  • recording a team-best five top 20 finishes
  • setting a school record with nine eagles and becoming the school’s all-time leader in eagles with 18.
  • Being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for a second time.

Not only did Perico lead the Razorbacks in scoring for a third straight year, but this year’s season average of 71.18 ranks third on the school’s list trailing his own school record of 70.38 set last season. Also, Perico currently owns the school’s all-time scoring average at 71.13. Perico also owns the program’s top two, 54-hole scores by winning the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate as a freshman with a total of 197 and winning this year at Vanderbilt with a total of 199.
