Petrino Via Satellite from Fayetteville to ESPN

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The start of a big week of interviews and appearances began today on the University of Arkansas campus as Razorback head football coach Bobby Petrino was interviewed via satellite by ESPN.

College Football Live host Brent Musburger asked the Razorback head coach about the upcoming season, his quarterbacks and his favorite parts of being the head coach at Arkansas.

Petrino did his ESPN interview today, and makes his first-ever appearance at the Southeastern Conference Football Media Days on Friday. The annual media event begins Wednesday and runs through Friday.

Associate Athletic Director Kevin Trainor and Petrino arrived at the UA Continuing Education studio today to tape the appearance, and ArkansasRazorbacks.com was there to provide a quick peek behind the scenes.

The RazorVision crew leaves Fayetteville today for Birmingham, Ala., where they will provide special coverage over the next three days to ArkansasRazorbacks.com from the SEC Media Days. This week’s packages are a free preview of the RazorVision premium area.

Current members of RazorZone will automatically become RazorVision members. The price per month is unchanged, just $9.95.

The Voice of the Razorbacks, Chuck Barrett, and the Razorbacks’ director of new media, Blair Cartwright, begin their video packages tomorrow with video of the four coaches appearing Wednesday — Florida, Miss State, LSU and Vanderbilt — plus interviews with other SEC officials. Thursday’s schedule includes Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Petrino and Razorback student-athletes Jonathan Luigs and Elston Forte are on tap for Friday at the SEC meeting. They begin their rotation at 10:40 a.m. on Friday. RazorVision will have special coverage of their comments on Friday evening. In addition, the RazorVision crew will preview the other three teams on Friday, Auburn, Kentucky and South Carolina.

After this week’s free preview, fans that are not current RazorVision members can sign up to see the next behind the scenes video packages starting next week.
