FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas women’s basketball team (2-0) will wrap up the three-game homestand, as the Hogs host in-state opponent Little Rock (0-2), on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The game will be tipped off at 7 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena with the game being streamed on SECN+.

STORYLINES
- Arkansas welcomed a crowd of 11,026 to Bud Walton Arena on Friday, which was recorded as the fourth best attendance in BWA history for a women’s game, and best since 2003
- The Hogs hosted the largest Elementary Day in the event’s 12th year, as over 50 schools and 7,000+ kids were in attendance
- In the Elementary Day game, Arkansas prevailed in the 82-79 win despite having a 24-point lead early in the third quarter
- Arkansas has started the season 2-0 for the 12th straight year, looking to say undefeated and commence the year 3-0 for the second consecutive year and fourth in the last five years
- This year marks the third straight year Arkansas is playing all other DI schools in the state. Since the revival of in-state matchups in 2019-20 (Hogs just played Little Rock that year), Arkansas is 12-0 vs. in-state opponents
- Taliah Scott has started her collegiate debut on a high note, scoring 29 in the game vs. ULM (most scored by a freshman in their Arkansas debut) and 25 vs. Murray State. Her 27.0 PPG leads the SEC and is sixth in the country
- As one of the best rebounders in the country, Saylor Poffenbarger pulled down a career-high 21 rebounds, which was one shy of tying the individual game record vs. ULM. The 21 rebounds is tied for the most by an NCAA player this year. Her 16.5 rebounds per game leads the SEC
- The Hogs were picked to finish sixth and seventh in the SEC Preseason Media and Coaches Poll, respectively
- Fifth-year Makayla Daniels was selected on the All-SEC Preseason Second Team, as chosen by the league’s coaches. She is averaging 16.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, and her 1,495 career points is the No. 10 most points scored by an Arkansas WBB player in school history
- Samara Spencer is the leading returning scorer from last year, having averaged 14.4 points per game and pacing the team with 154 assists. She has gotten off to another strong start, coming off a well-rounded 11 points, five rebounds and seven assists vs. Murray State. Her 259 career assists moved up to No. 19 on the all-time career list
- After two games, Sasha Goforth leads the team in blocks with six, logging three in back-to-back games to open the season. She is fourth in the SEC in blocks/game and her 72 career blocks at Arkansas is the sixth most among active players in the SEC
- Head coach Mike Neighbors and Little Rock coach Joe Foley are good friends and fierce competitors on the golf course
SCOUTING LITTLE ROCK
- The Trojans have one of the toughest schedules among Mid-Major programs, and have started the season 0-2, most recently coming off a 77-39 loss vs. Kansas State
- Little Rock also has SEC opponents Alabama, Ole Miss and Auburn on its schedule
- LR was projected to finish second in the Ohio Valley Conference with five first-place votes
- The Trojans finished last year 21-11, 17-1 in the OVC to win the regular season title. LR lost to Tennessee Tech in the OVC Tournament Championship, 54-46, but played in the Postseason WNIT to fall to SMU, 68-42
- Tia Harvey and Faith Lee earned spots on the Preseason All-OVC Team. Last season, Harvey averaged 9.7 points per game, while Lee tallied 8.3 points per game
- On this year’s Little Rock team, Lee leads the team with 18.5 points per game, Camryn James and Trinity Hudson lead the team in rebounds with 6.0 per game, while Jayla Brooks has a team’s most seven assists and four steals
- Coach Foley holds an impressive 854-308 career record through 37 years as a head coach, which is the third most wins among active DI coaches. This marks his 21st year at Little Rock, where he holds a 398-227 mark
HISTORY AGAINST THE TROJANS
- Arkansas is 5-0 in the all-time series vs. the Trojans
- This marks the fifth straight year Arkansas and Little Rock will square off
- Arkansas is 1-0 in Fayetteville, as this game is just the second of the series played in Bud Walton Arena
- The first game of the series was in 1977, and it took until 2019 to bring back the series
- In the last game vs. Little Rock, played at the Jack Stephens Center, Arkansas defeated the Trojans, 93-49, behind a season-high 62.5 field goal percentage. Daniels logged 12 points and four assists, Spencer logged 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Poffenbarger had nine points and nine boards
LAST TIME OUT
- Arkansas earned another hard-fought victory on Friday, as the Hogs defeated Murray State, 82-79, despite being ahead by 24 points early in the third quarter
- The Hogs welcomed a crowd of 11,026, which went down as the fourth best attendance in Bud Walton Arena history. Arkansas hosted over 50 local-area schools with 7,000+ students as a part of Arkansas’ 12th Elementary Day
- Scott guided the Hogs in scoring for the second straight game with 25 points and three rebounds
- Daniels was instrumental in great ball handling at the end of the game, tallying 15 points and six rebounds in the win
- Spencer stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, five boards and seven assists in 38 minutes played
- Poffenbarger recorded her first double-double of the season, fifth in her career, with 10 points and 12 rebounds, along with three assists, three steals and three blocks
- Goforth registered nine points and three blocks, her second straight game with 3+ blocks
- Arkansas delivered 44 points in the paint compared to MSU’s 28, and 20 fast break points vs. the Racers’ 14
UPCOMING
Arkansas will face its first road test of the season, as the Hogs travel to Jonesboro to face Arkansas State on Friday, Nov. 17. Tipoff against the Red Wolves will be at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
