STORYLINES
- Coach Neighbors’ 2020-21 Hogs have been an offensive juggernaut so far this season, averaging 93.7 points per game over their first six games, good for 10th in the NCAA.
- Arkansas gets a lot of its offense from beyond the arc, where the Hogs are once again ranked among the elite. They have made 48 threes so far this season already, which is the fourth-best mark in the NCAA. They are hitting 8.0 of them a game.
- Neighbors’ bunch has been the best team in the country at getting to the line and converting its chances – Arkansas is ranked first in the NCAA in both free throws made (146) and free throws attempted (198).
- The Hogs also played an incredibly efficient style last season, only turning the ball over 10.5 times a game on average, which is currently good for 11th in the NCAA.
- Redshirt senior guard Amber Ramirez has kept it rolling during her second season on the Hill.
- She has hit 13 of her 28 attempts from beyond the arc, 14th most in the NCAA so far this season.
- That 46 percent mark from deep leads the team (min. 10 attempts).
- Ramirez was phenomenal against Wake Forest, going for a season-high 22 points.
- She was unstoppable through much of that game, as she made her first eight shots.
- Ramirez also hit four threes in that game, a season-high.
- She was even better in the biggest game of the season, going for a team-high 23 points against No. 4 Baylor.
- She showed her big game ability against the Lady Bears, scoring 16 of those points in the second half. She also pulled down a season-high five rebounds.
- Sophomore guard Marquesha Davis has really started to break out for the Razorbacks.
- Coming off the bench, the Arkansas native has been reliable as both a scorer and defender.
- “Q”, as she’s known, started off the year strong, notching her first career double-double against Oral Roberts (11 pts, 11 rebs).
- She also scored in double-figures against both Maryland (15 pts) and Louisiana Monroe (14 pts).
- Against Baylor, Q scored eight points, pulled down four rebounds, and nabbed a game-high four steals.
- Q has been a thief on the defensive end, registering 3 or more steals in four of the Hogs’ six games, including a career-high five in the opener against Oral Roberts.
