STORYLINES

  • No. 15 Arkansas is 2-4 over its first six games in SEC play, falling to Kentucky, Texas A&M, Tennessee & South Carolina, all of which are now ranked, while beating Missouri and Florida at home.
  • The Hogs moved up in the AP Poll this week, going from 17 to 15, while moving down from 16 to 17 in the Coaches Poll.
  • Arkansas also fell in the NET Rankings, moving down to 28. They are now 5-5 against teams in the top 100. They have played six games against Top 25 NET opponents, the most in the NCAA.
  • In a year where games played is at a premium, Arkansas leads the country in the category, playing in 16 games so far this season.
  • The Razorbacks are also just one of 16 teams in the nation to have won 11 or more games.
  • The difficult schedule continues for the Hogs, as the team goes to Georgia, who is currently 13th in the NET rankings, before hosting UConn, who is No. 1.
  • The Hogs will travel to Georgia seeking their first SEC road win this season.
  • Coach Neighbors’ 2020-21 Hogs have been an offensive juggernaut so far this season, averaging 86.2 points per game, sixth in the NCAA.
  • Arkansas gets a lot of its offense from beyond the arc, where the Hogs are once again ranked among the elite. They have made 154 threes so far this season, which is the best mark in the NCAA.
  • They are hitting 9.6 of them a game, which is currently 13th in the NCAA.
  • Neighbors’ bunch has been the best team in the country at getting to the line and converting its chances – Arkansas is ranked first in the NCAA in both free throws made (287) and free throws attempted (392).
  • Chelsea Dungee (94) currently leads in the nation in free throws made, and is second in attempts (118).
  • The Hogs also play an efficient style of basketball, only turning the ball over 10.4 times a game on average, which is currently good for fifth in the NCAA and second in the Power Five. Their +7.62 turnover margin is seventh best in the NCAA.

SCOUTING GEORGIA

  • The Lady Bulldogs have won six of the last seven contests against the Razorbacks, including last season’s 64-55 win in Fayetteville. The 55 points were a season low for an Arkansas team that averaged 83.4 points per game.
  • Georgia held South Carolina to its second-lowest scoring output of the season this past Thursday in Columbia. The Gamecocks — who scored just 62 points against Georgia — average over 80 points per game.
  • The Lady Bulldogs have been much improved offensively. The 50 points scored against South Carolina marked the first time during the 2020-21 campaign Georgia has scored below 60 points in a game. The Lady Bulldogs scored less than 60 points 12 times last season.
  • Georgia is ranked No. 13 in the NET rankings, No. 22 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 23 in the Coaches Poll.
  • Georgia began the year 8-0 in non-conference action, marking its best start in seven seasons.
  • Georgia has won 17 of its last 22 games dating back to last year, with the only losses coming to top-15 teams South Carolina, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Kentucky.
  • The Lady Bulldogs are in the midst of a tough stretch with three contests against top-25 teams over four games.
  • Four seniors who have all earned their undergraduate degrees and are pursuing master’s degrees sit atop Georgia’s scoring column. Jenna Staiti, Gabby Connally, Que Morrison and Maya Caldwell rank 1-4 in season scoring averages for the Lady Bulldogs.
  • Staiti has scored in double figures in 21 of the last 23 games. She finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine boards against South Carolina.
