- Head Coach Mike Neighbors’ Razorbacks continue to peak at the right time, as they have now won six of seven games overall.
- The return of Arkansas guard Destiny Slocum was the story of the night, as the senior went off for 29 points on 11-15 shooting, including 5-7 from behind the arc. Despite missing the Ole Miss game on Thursday night with illness, the redshirt senior put on one of her best performances of the season.
- Redshirt senior guard Chelsea Dungee once again posed a problem for the opponent offensively as well, going for 20 points of her own, while also swiping three steals in the effort.
- Slocum also put up four steals in this one, a season-high.
- Erynn Barnum packed a punch off the bench once again, going for 12 points in only 14 minutes.
- Despite going scoreless, Amber Ramirez collected six boards, a season-high.
- Senior forward Taylah Thomas nearly double-doubled, going for seven points and seven boards.
STORYLINES
- No. 16 Arkansas went 2-0 last week, beating both Ole Miss at home and LSU on the road.
- The Hogs are trending up at the right time, as they have won six of their last seven games.
- Arkansas moved up in both polls this week, jumping to 16 in both the AP Poll and in the Coaches Poll. They also climbed to 21 in the NET Rankings.
- In a year where games played is at a premium, Arkansas leads the NCAA, playing in 24 games so far this season.
- Of those 24 games, nine of them have been played against teams currently in the AP Top 25.
- They have also played five of the teams in the top-10, going 2-4 in those six games.
- With their win against LSU, Arkansas got to above .500 in the SEC for the first time this year.
- The Hogs started the SEC season 2-5, but have gone 5-1 over their last six SEC games.
- The Razorbacks have a chance to climb that standings even more this week, with two winnable games left in the regular season.
- The Hogs will play Auburn on Thursday night, a team they beat 77-67 on Jan. 31 at home.
- Arkansas will close out the season with Alabama at home, who sits a spot above them in the SEC.
- Redshirt senior guard Chelsea Dungee joined an exclusive club against Mississippi State on Feb. 11, scoring her 2,000th career point.
- Dungee now joins Ladyback legend Bettye Fiscus as the only players ever to play at the University of Arkansas to score 2,000 points in a career.
- The Sapulpa, Okla. native is the only active player in the SEC to have scored 2,000 career points.
- It took Dungee 123 career games to get past the 2K mark, and she averaged 16.3 points per game over that span.
- Though it will not be recognized as a program record because not all of her points will be scored at Arkansas, Dungee needs just 12 more points to pass Fiscus’ collegiate total of 2,073 points.
- Dungee has scored 1,818 points at Arkansas, the fourth-most in school history.
