> NO ROOM TO BREATHE. Razorback men’s basketball was on one defensively Tuesday evening. The Hogs held LSU to just three field goals in the first half before going on to win 60-40. The mere 40 points allowed is tied for the second-lowest point total ever from an SEC opponent.

Devo Davis continued his hot streak on both ends of the floor and led the team with 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, and Anthony Black was right on his tail with 14 points of his own.

Now winners of two-straight games, Arkansas will ride this momentum into the SEC-Big 12 Challenge this weekend. They’ll face Baylor at 3pm on Saturday.

> BACKEND ASSISTANCE. Arkansas football has hired a new coach to Sam Pittman’s staff in Deron Wilson, who will be the Hogs’ secondary coach.

Wilson heads to Fayetteville after serving one season at Florida as a quality control analyst working with the Gators’ cornerbacks. Prior to joining the staff at Florida, Wilson spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator at McNeese from 2020-21. Additionally, he was named the Cowboys’ interim defensive coordinator a week prior to the spring season opener in 2021.

> GOLDEN ARCH DUO. Two incoming Razorback basketball players were named McDonald’s All-Americans Tuesday. Arkansas women’s basketball signee Taliah Scott and men’s basketball signee Baye Fall each made the cut for the two games that will be played later this year.

Taliah, a five-star guard, becomes the latest of seven McDonald’s All-Americans head coach Mike Neighbors has signed at Arkansas. She surpassed 2,000 career points in her high school career earlier this season, while averaging 37.3 points per game.

Baye is also a five-star prospect and the third-highest rated center in the country. He’s the fourth McDonald’s All-American head coach Eric Musselman has signed for the Razorbacks.

> RANKINGS RAVE. Heaps of praise are rolling in for Arkansas softball this week. The Razorbacks achieved their highest preseason ranking in program history, checking in at No. 6 in ESPN.com/USA Softball’s Preseason Top 25 Tuesday.

In addition, key players Chenise DelceKristina ForemanHannah Gammill and Cylie Halvorson were named to preseason Top 100 lists by D1Softball, Extra Inning Softball and Softball America. Chenise earned top-20 rankings from Extra Inning Softball, and Hannah cracked the top-15 for D1Softball and Extra Inning Softball.

The Hogs will begin their season in just over two weeks at the Rebel Kickoff in Las Vegas.

How about that defense!? Arkansas got some revenge on LSU last night with a big win over the Tigers at Bud Walton Arena. Z recaps the game in today’s episode.
