Razorback Brew 12/14: Start The Countdown
Good morning. Arkansas and the entire college football world mourns the death of Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach, who passed away late Monday evening following complications from a heart condition. Leach was just 61 years old. May his family and friends find comfort and peace.

Hear what has Anthony Black and Kamani Johnson excited about their teammate on this edition of My Time, on HogsPlus.com.
> TAKING SHAPE. The new backcourt duo of Nick Smith Jr. and Anthony Black looks as good as advertised. Smith is averaging 19.7 points and has made 82.4% of his free throws since joining Black in the starting lineup, while Black has shot an incredible 64.7% from the field in that same three-game stretch.
Smith joined Black this week as the second Razorback to be honored as the National Freshman of the Week by CBS Sports/US Basketball Writers Association this season.
Dick Vitale also took notice of Smith’s play and recognized him as his “Diaper Dandy” Star of the Week, which is just about the highest praise any college player can get.
> KEEP ‘EM COMING. More All-America praise has come in for Drew Sanders. The Arkansas linebacker has been named a second-team All-American by The Sporting News, making him the first Razorback to receive an All-America honor from the outlet since tight end Hunter Henry and offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola in 2015. Sanders is also the first Arkansas linebacker to be named an All-American by The Sporting News since Ronnie Caveness earned first-team praise in 1964.
> RACE YOU THERE. Season tickets for the 2023 Razorbacks home track and field meets are now available to purchase.
