> REMEMBER ME? Arkansas women’s basketball is back in action tonight with their second meeting against Vanderbilt this season. We all remember how the first game ended between these two teams. Makayla Daniels called game from about 40 feet out.
Makayla and the squad got a huge win last time out against Auburn. The 54-51 victory snapped a four-game skid, and keeps the Hogs at fifth place in the conference standings. The Commodores are near the bottom with a 1-9 record against SEC opponents.
Coverage from Nashville will begin at 8pm on SEC Network.
> MUST-SEE TV. No. 6 Arkansas softball is set to play on ESPN’s family of networks 15 times during the regular season this spring in addition to having games available on SEC Network Plus. The Hogs will be on ESPN2 twice, as well as SEC Network and ESPNU three times, with the first scheduled for next weekend’s matchup against No. 4 Florida State. Check out the full list of games here.
> FIRST STEPS. More good news may be on the horizon for Razorback men’s basketball. Head coach Eric Musselman told reporters Wednesday that freshman guard Nick Smith Jr. has been practicing with the team over the last few days. Nick last stepped out on the court on December 17th. He’s played five games this season and is averaging 12.8 points per game.
> 200 AND COUNTING. Tuesday night’s win for the Razorbacks was very special for Coach Musselman. The 88-73 victory over Kentucky was the 200th career win Muss earned as a college basketball coach. He is just 10 wins away from crossing the century mark as the head Hog.
