Razorback MGolf Heads to South Alabama

FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas men’s golf program has a quick turnaround from its last event (Feb. 5-6 at Sawgrass) to play in South Alabama’s Hal Williams Collegiate, played Feb. 13-14 in Mobile, Ala., at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course (par 71 – 7,168 yards).

This will be the first time the Razorbacks have played in the event. The 15-team field includes host South Alabama, Arkansas, nationally ranked Illinois (#5) and Kansas State (#21), as well as Davidson, Kent State, Louisiana, Memphis, Oral Roberts, Seaton Hall, Southern Miss, Texas State, Toledo, Western Kentucky and VCU.

This will be the second of five spring events prior to the SEC Championship.

Arkansas will take four of its players from the spring opener with Mateo Fernandez de Oliveira, Julian Perico, Manuel Lozada and Christian Castillo while redshirt freshman Matthew Griggs will be playing in his fourth event of the year – his second as a member of the starting lineup.
