INF Reese Robinett

Reese Robinett led the Razorbacks during the NCAA Lawrence Regional to the Lawrence Regional Championship (May 29-31) against Missouri State, Kansas, and Northeastern at Hoglund Ballpark, slashing .400/.471/1.000 with four runs, six hits, a team-leading three home runs, seven runs batted in, and two walks. Robinett singled to right field and scored Nolan Souza in a six-run fifth inning, helping the Razorbacks defeat the Bears in the regional opener (May 29). The redshirt junior infielder hit his first of three home runs during the weekend to center field in the fifth inning against Kansas (May 30) in the winner’s bracket game. The Kennett, Mo. native singled to right field in the fourth inning and homered twice more to lift the Razorbacks past the Huskies (May 31) in the elimination game. He walked and scored in the second inning, walked again in the third inning, and singled to left field in the seventh inning against the Jayhawks (May 31) in the Lawrence Regional Final.

LHP Hunter Dietz

Despite a loss in his final start of the season, Hunter Dietz turned in a career-best start against Kansas (May 30) in the winner’s bracket game of the NCAA Lawrence Regional at Hoglund Ballpark. Dietz delivered a career-high workload, throwing 116 pitches over 6.1 innings while allowing just five hits and four runs, with two walks and a career-best 14 strikeouts. The redshirt sophomore left-hander’s 14 strikeouts are the second most by a Razorback pitcher in an NCAA Tournament game in program history. He raised his strikeout total to 131 in 85.2 innings of work to move into a tie with Kevin Kopps for fourth in program history in single-season strikeouts (131).
