TJ Pompey powered the Hogs to a series win against Oklahoma, slashing team-leading .600/.667/1.500 with six hits, including three home runs, to go along with seven RBI and two stolen bases on the weekend. The Razorback third baseman, who had at least one RBI in all three games of the series, swatted a two-run home run in the series-clinching win against the Sooners on May 9 before belting a pair of home runs, his second multi-homer game of the year, in the series finale on May 10.

LHP Hunter Dietz

Hunter Dietz turned in his first career complete game in the series-opening win against Oklahoma on May 8. The Razorback left-hander twirled seven innings of two-run ball (one earned) with seven strikeouts to earn his seventh win of the year and record his team-leading eighth quality start of the campaign. With his seven punchouts against the Sooners, Dietz raised his season strikeout total to an SEC-leading 108.

INF Alexander Peck

Stats (2 GP/1 GS): .333/.333/1.000, 2 R, 2 H, 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 RBI

Alexander Peck entered as a defensive substitution in Arkansas’ series-opening win against Oklahoma (May 8) and blasted a two-run home run, the first of his collegiate career. The true freshman started at first base in game two against the Sooners (May 9) and recorded his first collegiate double to lead off the fourth inning in the Razorbacks’ series-clinching win.

  • INF Camden Kozeal was named a finalist for the illustrious Tony Gwynn Community Service Trophy.
  • INF Alexander Peck hit his first career home run to left field in Arkansas’ 12-2 game 1 win against Oklahoma (May 8).
  • Arkansas moved to 16-14 against Oklahoma since 1970, including a 8-4 record against the Sooners in Fayetteville after winning this weekend’s series with a 12-8 victory in game 2 (May 9).
  • After the Razorbacks game 2 win against the Sooners on Saturday, they won their third SEC weekend series in a row.
  • After Arkansas’ series win against Oklahoma, it has outscored opponents 59-18 in the eighth inning this season, highlighted by a seven-run eighth inning in game 2 (May 9).
