Player of the Week
3B Cayden Wallace

Stats (3 GP/3 GS): .333/.350/.833, 6-for-18, 6 R, 3 HR, 13 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SF, 2 SB

Third baseman Cayden Wallace powered the Razorbacks to a four-game sweep of UIC over the weekend, slashing .333/.350/.833 with three home runs and 13 RBI. The Greenbrier, Ark., native had a hit in all four games of the series, including three base knocks in game one of Thursday’s doubleheader, and drove in multiple runs in three of the four contests, including a career-high six in Sunday’s finale. Wallace hit a three-run homer in the opening game of the doubleheader before swatting grand slams in consecutive days against UIC. He hit a grand slam in Saturday’s 10-1 win to help Arkansas clinch the series before his second grand slam in as many days in Sunday’s 10-8 win put the finishing touches on the Hogs’ sweep of the Flames. Wallace also displayed his sure-handed glovework and top-level speed throughout the series, playing errorless defense at third while also stealing two bases on the weekend.

Pitcher of the Week
RHP Connor Noland

Stats (1 GP/1 GS): 1-0, 4.05 ERA, 6.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 11 SO

Pitcher Connor Noland turned in his second quality start of the season in game one of Thursday’s doubleheader against UIC, matching his career high with 11 strikeouts over 6.2 innings of work. The Greenwood, Ark., native limited the Flames to three runs on four hits and two walks, helping the Razorbacks win the opener, 12-4, and ultimately sweep the four-game series with UIC.

Freshman of the Week
LHP Hagen Smith

Stats (1 GP/1 GS): 1-0, 1.80, 5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 8 SO

Pitcher Hagen Smith earned his third win of the season in his outing against UIC on Saturday, fanning eight – one shy of his career high – over five innings of work. The left-hander limited the Flames to one run on four hits and three walks, helping the Razorbacks clinch the series win on Saturday, 10-1, and ultimately sweep the four-game set with UIC.
