Player of the Week
OF Braydon Webb

Stats (5 GP/5 GS): .350/.435/.800 (7-for-20), 6 R, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 3 BB, 1 SB

Outfielder Braydon Webb had a hit in all five games played during the week, including a pair of multi-hit efforts and two multi-RBI performances. He blasted three homers and drove in a team-leading eight runs to power the Razorbacks to a midweek sweep of Grambling and a three-game sweep of Kentucky on SEC Opening Weekend. Webb’s week began with a walk-off run-rule grand slam in Arkansas’ 14-1 win in eight innings against Grambling on Tuesday. His two other home runs came against SEC East foe Kentucky, including his game-winning two-run shot in Sunday’s series finale against the Wildcats. The McKinney, Texas, native also scored six runs, drew three walks and stole a base during the week as Arkansas extended its winning streak to 11 consecutive games and has now won 11 straight SEC weekend series.

RHP Jaxon Wiggins

Pitcher Jaxon Wiggins turned in this third quality start of the season in Sunday’s series finale against Kentucky, helping the Razorbacks complete their three-game sweep of the Wildcats on SEC Opening Weekend. The hard-throwing right-hander struck out a career-high eight batters over six scoreless innings to improve to 3-0 on the season. Wiggins’ strong outing helped Arkansas extend its winning streak to 11 consecutive games.

Freshman of the Week
INF Peyton Stovall

Stats (5 GP/5 GS): .400/.520/.600 (8-for-20), 4 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 4 BB

Infielder Peyton Stovall reached base in all five games played during the week, collecting two multi-hit performances and a pair of multi-RBI efforts as well. The true freshman pieced together back-to-back three-hit games in the midweek series against Grambling before his SEC debut during the weekend. Stovall’s biggest hit came in Saturday’s series-clinching 9-3 win against Kentucky as his two-run homer helped Arkansas win its 11th consecutive SEC weekend series.

  • Arkansas has won its last five SEC Opening Weekend series, including sweeps in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021, and has gone 14-1 in that span.
  • The Razorbacks won 11 straight SEC weekend series dating back to last season as well as nine consecutive SEC weekend series at home.
