Razorback Volleyball Adds Three on National Signing Day

Three future Razorbacks put pen to paper on Wednesday and will join the volleyball program for the 2025 season: Parker Duncan, Sydney Maue and Journey Peppers.

“The competitiveness of our 2025 class will be evident upon their arrival in Fayetteville,” head coach Jason Watson said. “Each has seen remarkable success in both their respective high school and club seasons. As with previous recruiting classes, our 2025 class will enhance the athleticism in our gym.”

Parker Duncan | OH | 6’0 | Austin, Texas

Duncan is a 6’0 outside hitter out of Anderson High School and Austin Juniors Volleyball. She just wrapped her final season at Anderson in the state playoffs and led the Trojans in nearly every category including kills per set (5.80), total kills (635), hitting percentage (.304), total digs (448), digs per set (4.10), aces per set (0.70) and total aces (77). She also surpassed 1,500 career kills and set the new record at Anderson High School. Duncan was named a Central Texas Top 10 Player by the Austin Statesman and finished the year as the District 24-5A MVP. In her junior season, she was named 1st Team 26-6A All-District, Academic All-District and an Honorable Mention on the All-Central Texas. In the last couple seasons with Austin Juniors, Duncan has been a two-time JVA Watch List honoree, a two-time Under Armour Next Selection, and a two-time Phenom AVCA Watch List honoree. She was named to the Girls Junior National Championship (GJNC) 16 National Division All-Tournament Team in 2022-23 and to the 2024 Club All-American Third Team for 17U Open Division.

Coach Watson says…

“Parker brings a joy for the game to Fayetteville. A deeply committed student-athlete, she is going to show up with that energy every day, and it’s something I look forward to seeing her add to our program. She’s a talented outside who has the skills to play six rotations.”

Sydney Maue | OPP | 6’1 | Walker, Iowa

Sydney Maue is a 6’1 opposite hitter from Walker, Iowa and has played for Mount Vernon High School and Adrenaline Volleyball Academy. Maue and the Mustangs are coming off an Iowa 3A state volleyball championship, and Mount Vernon won all its state tournament games in sweeps. Maue was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts and was also a unanimous First Team All-Conference Selection. She was second on the team in kills (559), third in blocks (56) and third in aces (51). She was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2023 as well, and helped lead the Mustangs to a state runner-up finish. As a member of Adrenaline Volleyball Academy, Maue won a GJNC 17 national championship in July and was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Coach Watson says…

“It comes as no surprise that she continues to improve and excel. There is tremendous potential for Sydney to become an elite right side. Her work ethic, in all aspects of life, is remarkable. Really looking forward to having her here on campus in the fall of 2025.”

Journey Peppers | MB | 6’4 | Hensley, Ark.

Journey Peppers is a homegrown talent from Hensley, Ark. The 6’4 middle blocker has played for White Hall High School and 501 Volley Club. She won a USA Volleyball national title in the 17 Liberty Division with 501 this past July, and during the team’s nationals run, they went 9-1. The title was significant as “the first national championship in any age and any division for a team from central Arkansas,” according to the club. Peppers has garnered national attention as a invitee to USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program Fall Training Series in 2023, during which the “top 30-40 athletes per birth year, including athletes selected for age-group national teams, are invited to train together.”

Coach Watson says…

“I’ve had the opportunity to watch Journey develop into one of the best middles coming out of Arkansas in recent years. It was a significant moment when she agreed to join our program. I look forward to getting to be a part of her college career. Big things are in store for her here at Arkansas.”
