Razorbacks announce 2025 cross country schedule

FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas men’s cross country, in its 18th season with Chris Bucknam as head coach, will begin the 2025 season with the Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday, October 4.

The Razorbacks will also host the NCAA South Central Regional on Saturday, November 14.

The 37th annual Chile Pepper Festival, held at Agri Park, will feature collegiate races at 10:25 a.m. and 11 a.m. for the McDonnell Memorial 8k and Harter’s Habanero 5k. The full schedule of races is available at https://www.chilepepperfestival.org/schedule/.

Arkansas travels to Columbia, Missouri, on October 18 for the Pre-National Invitational as the Gans Creek course will serve as host to the NCAA Championships this season on November 22.

Previously, the Razorbacks raced on the Gans Creek course in winning the 2021 SEC Championships.

Tennessee serves as host of the 2025 SEC Championships on October 31. The Razorbacks have won four of the past five conference team titles with Arkansas claiming a league record 29 SEC titles overall in cross country.

Arkansas is the defending NCAA South Central Region champion, having won the team title at College Station with a total of 33 points in 2024. The top two teams earn automatic qualification to the NCAA Championships in the South Central meet as the field races over a 10,000m course at Agri Park.

The Razorbacks have produced four podium finishes in the past five NCAA Cross Country Championships, placing third in 2024, and fourth in 2020, 2021, and 2023.
