Razorbacks claim John McDonnell Program of the Year fourth time

FAYETTEVILLE – For the fourth time in program history the Arkansas men were named the USTFCCCA John McDonnell Men’s Program of the Year for the 2023-24 academic year.

Previous years the Razorbacks were honored with the award included 2013, 2017, and 2021.

Following NCAA cross country and NCAA indoor, Arkansas was tied with Northern Arizona with six points each while Oklahoma State followed with eight. The Razorbacks placed fourth in cross country and second at the indoor national championship meets while Northern Arizona finished second in cross country and fourth at NCAA Indoor.

Arkansas clinched the award placing seventh at NCAA Outdoor to total 13 points while Northern Arizona tied for 23rd and totaled 29.5 points. Oklahoma State, who won cross country and finished in a tie for 7th at NCAA Indoor, placed in a four-way tie for 27th at NCAA Outdoor to place third overall with 37 points.

The Razorbacks tally of 13 points is second lowest for Arkansas in the history of the award, following the 10 points scored as runner-up in 2016. Having won the award four times, the Razorbacks have finished second four times as well.
