TERRE HAUTE, Ind.– The Arkansas men’s cross country program finished 30th at the NCAA Championships Saturday morning at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course hosted by Indiana State.
Freshman Myles Richter paced the squad with a time of 32:14.0, finishing seven spots above his projected mark at 132. Junior Matt Young followed closely behind at 32:19.1, while sophomore Ryan Murphy (32:50.0), senior Preston Cates (32:54.7) and senior Carter Persyn (33:28.6) rounded out Arkansas’ scorers at the national meet.
It was the 49th time in program history the Razorbacks have qualified a team for the NCAA Championships, doing so this year after finishing second at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville.
