Razorbacks Conclude Second Day At Bonita Bay Classic
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – Four members of the Arkansas men’s tennis team completed the second day of the Bonita Bay Classic on Saturday, picking up another doubles sweep and two singles wins. The Hogs faced off against FAU in singles and FGCU in doubles.
The Razorbacks started the day with two wins in doubles action as Connor Smillie and Jakub Vrba teamed up for a 6-4 victory aginast Jonathan Baron/Hugo Magnusson while Brendan Boland and Benni Emesz followed with a 7-5 win over Stavros Hadjivarnava/Ninad Raut to secure the second consecutive doubles sweep at the event.
Emesz picked up his second singles victory in Bonita Springs after a 6-1, 6-3 win against Segundo Goity Zapico while Vrba claimed his fourth combined victory with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Lucca Pignaton. Boland and Smillie both dropped their singles matches as Arkansas finished 2-2 on the afternoon in singles.
The Razorbacks conclude play at the Bonita Bay Classic tomorrow with doubles against FAU and singles versus USF.
