Razorbacks End Home Stretch Against Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Razorback libero Okiana Valle earned her first conference honor of the season, being named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Valle helped lead the Hogs to a sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks last Wednesday, a team who was 60+ points higher than Arkansas in the RPI. The Barceloneta, Puerto Rico native’s 53 digs last week moved her to second all-time in career digs with 1,666.

She recorded three service aces against the Gamecocks, setting a season-high for aces in a match. The senior also had an impressive 13 points from the service line over South Carolina.

The Razorbacks will return to the court Wednesday at Mississippi State, the first of a three-match road stretch.
