Razorbacks Host Fairfield for Season Opener
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas women’s basketball will begin its 49th season on Monday night when it hosts Fairfield, the favorite to win the MAAC and last year’s league champion.
Tipoff at Bud Walton Arena is set for 6:30 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Blair Lansden (analyst) on the call. The game will also be broadcast on the radio, with Phil Elson calling the action courtside.

- Senior guard Izzy Higginbottom, a transfer from Arkansas State, will make her Razorback debut. The Batesville, Ark. native was named a 2023 All-Sun Belt First Team selection and was one of 10 semifinalists for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year. Her 22.2 points per game led the league and was ranked No. 8 in the NCAA.
- The 2024-25 roster features five international players from five different countries: Phoenix Stotijn (The Netherlands), Cristina Sanchez (Spain), Pinja Paananen (Finland) and Danika Galea (Malta).
