Razorbacks Host No. 24 Kentucky at Barnhill

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas volleyball team will host its second nationally ranked opponent of the season when it welcomes No. 24 Kentucky to Barnhill Arena on Wednesday. First serve of the midweek contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT). Match tickets are $5 and go on sale at the ticket window one hour prior to first serve. Students with a valid ID and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

All-Time Series vs. Kentucky
Wednesday’s match will be the 38th overall meeting in the all-times series with Kentucky, and the second of the year. The Wildcats have won the last five meetings and own a 22-15 advantage in the series. Arkansas will be looking for its first win against Kentucky since the 2012 season. The teams have split 18 matches (9-9) played in Fayetteville.

Last Time Out
Despite a season-high 29 digs from libero Okiana Valle and double-doubles from Danielle Harbin and Rachel Rippee, the Razorbacks dropped a four-set decision at Alabama. With their respective outings, Valle became the 17th player in program history to reach 800 career digs while Breana Jones became the third Razorback this season (Harbin, Dapic) to reach 500 career kills.

Floor Defense vs. Alabama
Arkansas had four players with 10 or more digs at Alabama on its way to 81 digs, an SEC-season high. Valle had a match-high 29 digs while Adrien Wohlschlaeger tied a career high with 14 digs. The team’s season high for digs is 83 from a five-set match at No. 4 Kansas during the non-conference schedule. In her last two matches, Valle has 28 digs against Georgia and 29 digs at Alabama.
