Razorbacks Land Trio of National TV Appearances
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Coming off a historic 2016 season that featured a program-record 18 wins, a run to the SEC championship game and a final national ranking of No. 16, the Arkansas women’s soccer team learned Wednesday it will have three games on national TV over a two-week span during the 2017 regular season.
All the remaining home games at Razorback Field will be televised online only on SEC Network+. Most, if not all, of the road conference games will be on SEC Network+ as well. Those schedules will be released by each school as the season draws near.
Arkansas will also have two regionally televised games on Cox Sports Television this season. Its season-opener at SMU on Fri, Aug. 18 and its road match at Providence on Sun, Sept. 10 will both appear on the regional network. The match with the Mustangs will be the first time the two programs have faced off since 2013 and the 15th match in the all-time series.
As for Providence, it will be the first time the Razorbacks and the Friars have ever faced each other in each of their program’s history.

Just three days following its trip to Auburn, the Razorbacks will play host to South Carolina on Sunday, Oct. 8 at Razorback Field starting at 5 p.m. on ESPNU. The last two meetings between the two programs in Fayetteville have resulted in a tie. The Gamecocks went 21-2-1 in 2016, advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight.
The league office also unveiled that the entire SEC Tournament held in Orange Beach, Ala., will once again be televised on the SEC Network. The tournament runs from Oct. 29 – Nov. 5, at the Orange Beach Sports Complex.
