Razorbacks Ranked No. 3 in D1Baseball Preseason Top 25

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas is ranked No. 3 in D1Baseball’s preseason poll.

It is Arkansas’ highest ranking in the publication’s preseason top 25 since 2022, when the Hogs began their campaign at No. 2 in the country.

The Razorbacks are ranked behind No. 1 Wake Forest and last year’s national runner-up No. 2 Florida by D1Baseball. Reigning national champion No. 4 LSU, No. 5 TCU, No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 7 Oregon State, No. 8 Texas A&M, No. 9 Tennessee and No. 10 Clemson round out the top 10, with the SEC boasting a nation-leading eight teams in the preseason top 25.

D1Baseball is the second of college baseball’s five major national polls, including Baseball America, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, Perfect Game and USA Today Coaches, to release rankings ahead of the 2024 season. The Hogs checked in at No. 2 in Perfect Game’s preseason poll earlier this month.

Arkansas, led by head coach Dave Van Horn, begins its 2024 campaign with a four-game series against James Madison inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch on Opening Day is set for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16.
