Posted first place finishes against Drury in the 200 Back (2:01.84) and again in the 200 Back versus Little Rock (1:58.18)… Was lead-off in two separate first place finishes including the 200 Medley Relay versus Drury and the 400 Medley Relay in the double-dual versus Miami (FL) and Rutgers… Morton set personal best times in the 100 Back (54.51) and 200 Free (1:49.37)… At the midseason SMU Invite, she posted a 4th place finish, clocking in at (54.51), a 7th place finish in the 200 Back (2:00.99) and an 11th place finish in the 200 Free (1:49.37)…
As a Freshman (2024-25)
Won SEC Freshman Athlete of the Week (10/1) following an excellent performance in the 200 Backstroke against Drury in her first collegiate meet… Posted a speedy (2:00.36) 200 back in the SMU/TCU double-dual meet… Swam to a season-high (55.78) in the 100 Backstroke at the Iowa Hawkeye Invite… Clocked a (2:05.96) 200 IM at the Iowa Invite…

Earned Student Athlete Honor Roll accolades in high school… posted All-American consideration times in 100 backstroke in 2023 and 2024 as well as 200 and 400 free relay in 2023…

Ashley is the daughter of Michael and Amy Morton. She has 3 younger siblings. She plans to major in exercise science and pursue physical therapy post-graduation.
