As A Junior (2022-23)
In her third season, had a 12th place finish at the SEC Championships in the 50-freestyle with a 22.43… Clocked a personal-best time of 48.77 in the 100-freestyle finals at SEC’s… earned a third-place finish in the 400-freestyle relay with a 3:13.60 at the SEC Championship…Cothern earned Honorable Mention honors helping the 400-freestyle relay score a 14th-place finish with a time of 3:14.48 at the NCAA Championships… With a 13th-place finish, Cothern would earn another Honorable Mention honor in the 200-freestyle relay with a time of 1:28.34… Cothern would finish an NCAA run with a third Honorable Mention honor in the 200-medley relay with a 15th-place finish and a time of 1:36.53…
As A Sophomore (2021-22)
Cothern finished the season with a 15th-place finish in the 400 Free relay at NCAA Championship where she helped post the fastest time in school history with a 3.13.31. She was also part of the second-fastest time in school history in the 200 Free relay, in which the relay team finished 14th with a time of 1:27.95… Earned Honorable Mention All-American with her 14th and 15th-place finishes at the NCAA Championship.
As A Freshman (2020-21)
In her first year with the Hogs put up multiple personal-best in the Missouri Invitational… Cothern put up a 50.60 in the 100-freestyle… also had two personal-best in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:02.97 (prelims) and 1:01.91 (finals)…
Prior to Arkansas
Cothern is the top-rated recruit out of the Natural State as well as a six-time individual state champion while also holding two records in the 6A and 7A division in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke… The Jonesboro, Arkansas, native, is the record holder in the 5A 50 free… She was part of Jonesboro’s 2019 Arkansas High School 5A state champ squad and the 2019 5A East Conference champions.
