As a Sophomore (2025-26)

Sanchez had her first of many 1 and 3-meter sweeps on the season against both Miami (FL) and Rutgers in a double-dual meet, scoring a (305.65) on 1-meter and (334.45) on 3-meter… She swept SMU and set season-high scores in both events including a 1-meter score of (324.75) and a (377.40) on 3-meter… At the midseason SMU Invite, Sanchez only competed on 3-meter, where she placed first with a total score of (357.55) – an NCAA Zone qualifying score… Another win in a double-dual meet as she won the 3-meter (348.00) against Georgia and Florida State… Swept Kansas in both events scoring (318.30) in 1-meter and (297.98) on 3-meter… En route to a regular season finale win over UNT, she set the Arkansas 10-meter platform pool and program record with a (341.30)… Two-time SEC Co-Diver of the Week (11/11 & 2/3)… At the SEC Championships, Sanchez placed 9th (292.05) in 1-meter, posting an NCAA qualifying score in the process… She followed this performance up by landing two more bronze medals in 3-meter and platform, with scores of (360.80) and (325.55), both NCAA qualifying scores… A solid performance at NCAA Zones included 9th in 1-meter (291.25), 5th in 3-meter (340.65) and 3rd in platform (292.65)… At the NCAA Championships, Sanchez placed 21st in 1-meter (260.70) before placing 8th in 3-meter (320.85) earning NCAA All-American honors, and capped off the season with a 12th place finish on platform (272.95) earning an NCAA All-American honorable mention… The sophomore was named to the All SEC Third Team…

As a Freshman (2024-25)

In her first season as a Razorback, Maria Sanchez got off to a hot start, sweeping Drury in both 1 and 3-meter with scores of (290.48) and (314.78)… Topped SEC opponent Missouri in 3-meter with a score of (339.50)… Placed first in 1-meter against Missouri State with a score of (293.78)… Shattered the program record on platform in the SMU/TCU double-dual meet, posting a score of (319.75)… Broke her own record at the Iowa Hawkeye Invite on Platform further etching her name in the record book, diving to a whopping (347.30)… Posted NCAA Zone cuts in all three events… Swept SEC opponent Tennessee, in both 1 and 3-meter with scores of (304.88) and (330.98)… Won the 1-meter event against Kansas with a score of (315.90), her season-high… Two-time SEC Diver of the Week (10/1 & 11/5)… At the SEC Championships, Sanchez dove to an 8th place finish in 1-meter and hit an NCAA qualifying score of (274.60)… She placed 14th in 3-meter with another NCAA qualifying score of (281.20) and capped off the week with a bronze medal on platform and another NCAA qualifying score of (304.35)… A steady NCAA Zones appearance saw her capture 4th place in both 3-meter (316.10) and platform (316.15 – season high), and 7th in 1-meter (292.85)… At the NCAA Championships, Sanchez placed 13th in 3-meter (326.70) earning an NCAA All-American honorable mention… The freshman was named to the All SEC Freshman Team along with All SEC Second Team…
