As a Junior (2024-25)

During his first season as a Razorback, Jakic was a mainstay in the lineup for the Hogs, posting an 11-11 overall doubles record along with a 5-12 overall singles record. Jakic opened non-conference play competing on court one in doubles with Božo Barun and Connor Smillie, amassing a 6-3 record while helping clinch the doubles point in matches against Hawaii, Lamar, Oral Roberts and Tulsa. Jakic entered SEC play with back-to-back victories and four wins in his first five matches with Brendan Boland at the No. 3 position, including securing the doubles point in Arkansas’ upset victory over No. 12 Texas A&M. The duo additionally helped the Razorbacks earn the doubles point in the match versus No. 27 Florida. Jakic appeared in the singles lineup for the Hogs in 23 matches, collecting a point for Arkansas in wins against Hawaii, Incarnate Word, Memphis, Oral Roberts and Wichita State.
As a Junior at Purdue (2023-24)
Jakic amassed records of 3-3 in singles and 2-4 in doubles after appearing in six matches for the Boilermakers in 2024. At the beginning of the season, Jakic won his first three singles matches on court two in addition to back-to-back doubles matches at the No. 1 position against Oregon and Portland.
As a Sophomore at DePaul (2022-23)
In his sophomore season with the Blue Demons, Jakic collected a 3-1 singles record at the No. 1 position alongside a 2-2 doubles record on court one. Jakic’s singles victories contributed to DePaul’s wins over IUPUI and Princeton while also earning the team’s only point in the loss to Wisconsin. Jakic ended the season on a three-match winning streak in singles.
As a Freshman at DePaul (2021-22)
As a freshman at DePaul, Jakic was named the 2022 Big East Freshman of the Year after compiling dual records of 14-12 in singles and 13-10 in doubles. Jakic primarily competed on court two in singles and registered a four-match winning streak in singles halfway through his first-year campaign. Jakic was named the 2022 Big East Tournament Most Outstanding Player after clinching the final point for the Blue Demons to secure their second consecutive conference championship. Jakic achieved a career-high ITA ranking of No. 124 in December 2021 at the conclusion of the fall season.
Personal
Jakic holds ATP career-high rankings of No. 1549 in singles and No. 768 in doubles. Before the start of his collegiate career, Jakic accrued experience across the world by competing for the Croatian national team twice, winning four ITF Juniors tournament doubles titles and a pair of club national championships. Jakic was rated as the No. 1 ranked recruit in Croatia out of high school.
