Sansores, Wizard pick up wins in international action

MONTERREY, Mex./SHEFFIELD, Eng.– Arkansas swimmers Betsy Wizard and Andrea Sansores captured wins in their international debuts for the 2023 season.

Sansores, who swam in the Mexico Swimming Nationals, won the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 28.79. The Cancun native won the 50-meter butterfly, as well while clocking a personal-best of 26.74.

Freshman Betsy Wizard competing in the British Swimming Championship, winning the C-Final in the 50-meter butterfly with a personal-best time of 27.66.

Head Coach Neil Harper: “It’s good to see our ladies swimming best times and having success in their home countries. Performing well gives them the best chance of qualifying for the world championships!”
