Sanu Jallow-Lockhart earns return to Bowerman watch list

FAYETTEVILLE – An updated Bowerman watch list following the conference weekend sees the return of Razorback senior Sanu Jallow-Lockhart among the 10 women named on Wednesday.

A collegiate record in the 600m initially placed Jallow-Lockhart on the Bowerman watch list during the indoor season. Producing a SEC Outdoor Championship meet record during her initial conference victory in the 800m enabled her to return to the watch list.

After placing second in five previous SEC Championship 800m races (indoor and outdoor), Jallow-Lockhart led from start to finish in generating a career best time of 1:58.82 to better the meet record of 1:58.89 set by Michaela Rose of LSU in 2024.

Jallow-Lockhart is the collegiate leader this season and currently ranks fourth on the 2026 world list. The winning time bettered her UA and Gambian national record of 1:59.29 and ranks No. 4 on the all-time collegiate outdoor list

Leading the field through a fast first lap, Jallow-Lockhart split 57.12 at 400m. Finishing behind Jallow-Lockhart in a close race were Kentucky’s Janet Jepkemboi Amimo (1:59.01) and Florida’s Layla Haynes (1:59.38).

Jallow-Lockhart also anchored the Razorback 4 x 400m relay with a 49.47 split to a 2026 world-leading 3:20.04 that bettered the SEC meet record of 3:21.93 set by Kentucky in 2022. The time ranks No. 2 on the all-time collegiate list behind the collegiate record of 3:17.96 set by Arkansas in 2024.

This outdoor season has also seen Jallow-Lockhart improve her 400m national record twice with efforts of 51.21 and 51.10.
