Schultz Earns SEC Diver of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Razorback swimming and diving sophomore Brooke Schultz earned her first SEC Diver of the Week award for the 2018-19 season following an impressive season-opening performance against No. 7 Georgia.

Schultz earned first-place finishes in both springboard events against the Bulldogs, posting final scores of 342.90 in the 1-meter and 359.10 in the 3-meter.

She placed first in 10 of the 12 rounds she competed in and her scores topped all divers in the SEC in both the 1-meter and 3-meter.

In the 3-meter, her score was nearly 40 points ahead of the second-place finisher while her 1-meter score was over 40 points higher than the second-place finisher. Schultz defeated two 2018 NCAA qualifying divers from Georgia as well as an honorable mention All-American in teammate Maha Amer.

“I was very pleased with Brooke’s performance against Georgia last weekend, especially considering the adversity she faced last week,” head diving coach Dale Schultz said.

This is the Fayetteville, Ark. native’s seventh career Diver of the Week award, winning six last season.
