
SEC Outdoor honors for Jordan Anthony, Chris Bucknam
BIRMINGHAM – Arkansas sprinter Jordan Anthony was named 2025 SEC Outdoor Runner of the Year and Razorback men’s head coach earned SEC Coach of the Year in voting by league coaches.
Anthony swept the 100m and 200m titles during the SEC Championships with stellar times of 9.95 and 19.93 seconds, becoming just the third sprinter to sweep SEC titles in the 100m and 200m with sub-10 and sub-20 second times.
He also ran anchor leg on a bronze medal 4 x 100m relay and claimed the Commissioner’s Trophy as the high-point scorer with 21.5 points. Anthony is the first SEC Outdoor Runner of the Year from Arkansas since Caleb Cross in 2012.
This marks the 34th SEC Coach of the Year honor for Bucknam, who is in his 17th season as the Razorback men’s head coach. Arkansas secured a fifth consecutive SEC Outdoor team title and a10th outdoor title under Bucknam, who also has 12 SEC cross country titles and 12 SEC Indoor titles.
It’s the 24th SEC Outdoor championship in program history and the 80th SEC Championship overall for Arkansas in cross country (29), indoor (27) and outdoor (24) seasons.
