SEC Play Continues At Mississippi State
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team continues Southeastern Conference play traveling to No. 5 Mississippi State in Starkville, Mississippi, on Thursday.
The game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tip and will air on the SEC Network.

Scouting Arkansas
The Razorbacks (10-4, 1-0 SEC) opened conference play with a thrilling, 73-72, win over Ole Miss on Sunday. Graduate student Devin Cosper had her sixth double-double of the season and junior Malica Monk scored in double figures for the 14th consecutive game. Sophomore Jailyn Mason was also in double figures in the win.
The Razorbacks continue to take good care of the ball and lead the SEC and rank eighth in the country with just 11.8 turnovers per game. The solid start to the season has Arkansas at No. 49 in the most recent RPI rankings with the conference season just beginning.
Scouting Mississippi State
The NCAA runner-up from a year ago has picked up where they left off. Head coach Vic Schaefer, a former Razorback assistant coach, has his team 15-0 on the year and ranked No. 5 in the Associated Press poll and No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches Poll this week.
State ranks among the SEC leaders in nearly every statistical category this year and is paced by Teaira McCowan who averages a double-double with 20.3 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game.
